Gerber just announced an update to their staple fixed blade knife: The StrongArm Camp is the bushcraft edition: It’s smaller and geared more toward processing wood, carving tools.

They’ve kept the overall look and materials of the design, so that rubbery grip is still there. But they’ve adjusted some of the lines to pull back from the tactical-centric theme of the original:
- Removed the handguards to allow for a more comfortable grip choking up on the blade,
- Added a sharpening choil,
- Oriented the handle more forward to add better grip and leverage.
The sheath design is the same: ambidextrous, MOLLE compatible, with a modular system that can be adjusted for horizontal, vertical, and drop-leg carry.
The price is also staying the same, so the StrongArm Camp is staying neatly under the $100 mark.
It’s available now, with a grey handle and a stonewash finish blade.
