On June 27th there will be a new option widely available from the small but technically profound knife company.

The Nova will be Vero Engineering’s first knife featuring a lanyard hole, although you might not be able to tell from the pictures. The hole is actually made by an insert between the scales in the pommel.
The other new element is the Magnacut steel. In the past, Vero has been partial to Bohler M390 in their folders and Nitro-V in their kitchen knives.
But they’re still offering the usual range of blade finish options:
- Stonewash
- Belt satin
- Hand satin
- Blackwash
And if you want to get really fancy there will be a Damasteel version in the Hakkapella pattern.
Technically the Nova dropped at Blade Show Atlanta, so you might be seeing some precious acquisitions popping here and there from people who were able to attend. The June 27th date is when the rest of the world who couldn’t quite make will get their shot at snatching one up.
This comes just a couple months after Vero Engineering took the awards for Best Fixed Blade and Best Folder at Blade Show Texas, so this is looking like a bumper year for them.
