We mostly started this site so we had another excuse to go into the mountains. As a result, most of the knives we talk about are made for camping and hiking. So if you’re looking for a knife that is sturdy enough to carve wood, make tools, start a fire, and ride easy on the belt, we have definitely talked about it.
Every knife we review here has been on a hike and subjected to a big log and a ferro rod. It has also probably been thrown against a tree, dulled into uselessness, sharpened again, and then used to chop a bunch of logs again.
