Cold Steel Loads Up Full Metal Atlas

As the name suggests, it’s all metal: blade, handle, and all. Cold Steel’s new folder, the Full Metal Atlas, is the next instalment featuring Cold Steel’s new(ish) Atlas lock. An innovation they announced around the start of 2022.

Here are the quick specs:

Overall Length:9.375″
Blade Length:3.5″ drop point
Blade Steel:CPM-S35VN
Open System:Thumbstud
Pocket Clip:Tip-up, deep carry

Other notable features are the diamond-texture pattern in the scales, and a build that is impressively low on screws (we’re counting five total, including the pivot).

The Full Metal Atlas is available in stonewashed or black anodized.

It will be available in two options:

  • a stonewashed blade with gray scales,
  • or with all black blade and scales.

Cold Steel is highlighting both the lightweight nature with this knife, and the security of the Atlas lock with this knife. It joins a small number of designs that Cold Steel has been trickling out over the last year, including the Engage (which was the first to feature the new lock), the Mayhem, and the Karve.
