Kizer’s Autumn Drop is a Militaw Explosion

The Kizer Militaw got the fixed blade and the mini treatment, as well as a huge range of new handle color and combo options.

The Militaw Fixed Blade

We have spent a few days hiking and camping with the new Militaw Fixed Blade, and we will be covering posting a review in a few weeks.
Overall Length:8.18″
Blade Length:3.83″
Blade SteelNitro-V or S35VN
Sheath:Taco-style Kydex

The Militaw Fixed Blade is right around the same dimensions as the standard Militaw folder, but the blade is a little longer and thicker, and the handle a little shorter. So ergonomically you end up with something much more blade-centric.

Currently there are two versions:

  • The more premium one featuring S35VN steel and an aluminum handle with carbon fiber inerts ($156);
  • And the other featuring Nitro-V steel with a G10 handle with Micarta inserts ($67).

Both come in a taco-style Kydex sheath with a button-clasp mounting system.

The Mini Militaw comes with an overall length of 6.7 inches and a 2.82-inch blade. We’re forgoing the quick spec table because Kizer released a lot of different variations of this knife all at once, so here’s a list with a quick rundown of the different steel, handle, and lock combos instead:

They released this in a lot of different materials all at once across their Vanguard and Blade Smith series, so here’s a quick run down of the options in each. Generally the Vanguards are around $70 and the Blade Smiths are around $170.

The New Militaw Handle Options

Meanwhile with the original Militaw design, they’ve added some handle color and materials, and even some steel options, although some are exclusives:

  • Nitro-V / Olive Green G10 w/ Party Streamer inserts
